BMW M8 GTE Coupe for Le Mans competition

BMW has unveiled M8 GTE model destined for the FIA WEC and IMSA WeatherTech Championships at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The dimensions of the novelty are 4980 mm long, 2046 mm wide, 1212 mm high and the wheelbase is 2880mm. The tires have got a size of front 30/68 R18 and rear 31/71 R18.

Dingolfing plant is the place where two-door car was manufactured and it is the same plant for the road BMW 8-series production. In addition, BMW 8 Series shared cylinder block and block heads with M8 GTE Coupe. The supercharged V8 capacity is limited in accordance with the requirements of the competition at four liters. It should be noted that the road fellow will get 4.4-liter motor. The engine’s output exceeds 500 horsepower.
