BMW Company has published new information about the full-sized X7 iPerformance crossover. The model is a concept car of a pre-series version of the flagship SUV brand that will make its debut at 2018 Auto Show in Frankfurt.

The new X7 iPerformance is designed for six passengers, but most likely, the commercial crossover will get a seven-seat modification. The show-car’s dimensions make 5020 mm in length, 2020 mm in width and 1800 mm in height. The length of the wheelbase is equal to 3010 mm. Thus, the new X7 crossover is 83 mm longer and 37 mm higher and its wheelbase is 76 mm longer if to compare with X5 version. The concept’s exterior appearance is designed by a large upright grille and narrow headlights. The interior is made in a futuristic style with a contrasting blue backlight. BMW crossover has received a virtual instrument panel and a large multimedia display. Monitors are attached to the backs of the rear seats.

As for the BMW X7 iPerformance’s engine compartment, the engineers provided the novelty by a hybrid unit presented by a 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol TwinPower motor previously used in 740e xDrive iPerformance model. The hybrid plants let generating 322 horsepower and 500 Nm of maximum torque. The installed 9.2 kW/hour lithium-ion batteries allow moving 45 kilometers on a pure electric power.
