The BMW Group has upgraded laser lights

The BMW Group has brought to the exhibition of consumer electronics CES in Las Vegas conceptual coupe version M4, which received the name prefix Concept Iconic Lights. The prototype is designed to demonstrate the new features of lighting the Bavarian brand.
Concept is equipped with upgraded laser headlamps, which are capable to give the light at a distance of 600 meters and automatically adjust the flow rate depending on the oncoming traffic. The laser beam can also at night to determine the presence of human or animal road for 100 meters, then the driver receives the warning signal.

The system is capable of automatically turning lights in the direction of an upcoming turn before entering into it, based on the testimony of the navigator.
In addition, when driving on narrow road electronics activates the laser illumination is projected onto the ground the real width of the machine. As planned by BMW, this function helps the driver a better feeling dimensions of the machine to avoid the exit side of the road or not to hit an obstacle.

Plus, laser lights BMW M4 Concept Iconic Lights can act as a “replacement projection display.” All necessary information is projected directly onto the road directly in front of the car.
Finally, a prototype was taillights with OLED-elements (OLEDs). They consume less power than LED-elements, but at the same time produce a brighter light.
