The fifth BMW has been reworked by AC Schnitzer specialists

The sedan and wagon versions of the fifth series BMW under the G30/G31factory index has got a package of upgrades developed by AC Schnitzer studio. The models have received an increased power. In particular, the 540i version equipped by 3.0-liter turbo motor generates 400 horses instead of previous 300-hp, as for the 530d, its output increased from 265 to 315 horsepower. In future, the carmakers plan to increase the M550i, 530i, and 520d versions’ power by 50-60 additional horses.
The improvements in aerodynamics are an important feature of AC Schnitzer creations. The large aerodynamic package includes several polymer and carbon fiber components proposed for the customer’s choice. The fifth model can also be complemented by a splitter, new diffuser, rapier expanders, as well as a spoiler on the roof or a spoiler or a wing on the trunk lid. The driver can also add the mirrors made of CFRP.
A set of announced changes for the fifth series includes a set of new springs that let to understate the car’s body by 25 mm in front and 20 at rear comparing with the basic fifth version. The wheel disks’ design will be proposed in monochrome and two-tone color, in 19 or 20 inch diameter. It is possible to order tires on both axles in one or different sizes.


BMW M5 will be presented before Frankfurt Show

The Germans engineers will show the sixth generation BMW M5 with a detailed presentation in late August. The live production car will be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The first models are supposed to reach the showrooms in April 2018. Nevertheless, there is an insider data about the new sedan.

BMW special version unveiled under the Edition 40 Jahre name

BMW 7-Series will celebrate its 40th anniversary. Especially for this event the BMW carmakers created the new modification. The novelty under Edition 40 Jahre name will be shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September. After this the car will be launched in a limited edition, only 200 copies. The customers can choose between the standard and extended wheelbase, they also can add any available engine, including the BMW iPerformance hybrid one. The special version will differ in expressive body colors and rich finishing materials.

BMW M4 CS will take its place in the car family

The 460-hp M4 CS Coupe has got a splitter, hood, roof, rear diffuser and spoiler that are made of plastic reinforced by carbon fiber. The list of equipment includes LED dipped and main-beam lamps, light seats, suede steering wheel and natural leather and Alcantara finishing. The standard package will also propose semi-slick tires with the dimensions of front 265/35 R19 and rear 285/30 R20, but it is possible to order Michelin Pilot Super Sport ones. The brakes on the front axle are four-piston, on the rear – two-piston. In addition, the carmakers added carbon-ceramic discs and six-piston calipers in front and four at rear.

BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo has got all-wheel drive

BMW Company has showed B5 Bi-Turbo family for the Geneva visitors. Two principal innovations included into the new package are presented by the introduction of the all-wheel drive and the steering rear axle (with the wheel deviation at the angle of 2.5 °). Both systems have got the settings in accordance with the wishes of Alpine engineers.

AC Schnitzer Company will present a special version based on BMW M240i

Especially for the Switzerland Show, the carmakers from AC Schnitzer studio have prepared ACL2S modification on the BMW M240i convertible car’s platform. The novelty is dedicated to a 30-th anniversary of the tuning studio. The German workers will manufacture 30 copies.
