A modified hybrid BMW X5 eDrive will be shown in New York

At the International Motor Show in New York, which starts in a few days, BMW will bring new hybrid concept X5 eDrive. The car has undergone a number of design improvements and received new stylistic solutions. Technical stuffing while has not changed and is still impressive high efficiency and low emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The debut of the production model, which will carry label xDrive40e, can be held in the fall at the Paris Motor Show.

The power plant consists of crossover 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine capacity of 245 horsepower and the electric motor power of 95 horsepower. The total output power is 272 horsepower. When working both motors car fuel consumption is 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions do not exceed 90 g/km.

Hybrid X5 will also have good dynamics, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7 seconds. Lithium-ion batteries can be recharged from an external power source and use cars as a full electric vehicle. On traction motor alone with zero CO2 emissions SUV can drive a maximum of 30 km at a speed not exceeding 120 km/h.
