Alpina has presented a 600-hp BMW 7-Series

Alpina Company has showed its own version of the “charged” last generation BMW 7-Series sedan. The new B7 xDrive is equipped by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine generating 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque that is 155-hp and 150 Nm more than in the usual 7-Series 750Li. The manufacturer recommends filling the tank fuel with an octane rating above 98. The car is able to get first 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. A top speed is limited to 310 km/h. The engine is mated to an 8-step ZF automatic.

B7 has also more efficient intercoolers; Mahle sports pistons, NGK spark plugs, as well as an upgraded exhaust system made of stainless steel. Sedan is available with 394- and 368-millimeter front and rear brake discs. The air ride is able to change the clearance weather in a driver’s direction or an automatic mode. For example, at a speed exceeding 250 km/h and Sport+ enabled mode, the vehicle is pressed to the ground by 20 mm.

The Alpina B7 xDrive’s standard equipment includes the Nappa seats, sports steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, projection screen, rearview camera and adaptive LED-lights. The novelty is going to be launched in the autumn 2016. The base price will start from 169 500 euros.
