BMW M140i hatchback has replaced the M135i model

The range of M Performance is complemented by BMW M140i hatchback. The new car took a place of the M135i model. It should be noted that the appearance of the novelty is similar to the previous one, but the motor has become more productive. If the engine installed into M135i generated 326-hp and 450 N/m, now its output makes 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The new hatchback will be available for ordering in rear and all-wheel drive versions.

Due to the realized power improvements the dynamic characteristics of the car became better too. A rear-wheel drive hatchback gets a hundred km/h in 4.6 seconds, and the M140i xDrive version – in 4.4 seconds (before the rate was 4.9 seconds and 4.7 seconds, respectively). According to the manufacturer, an average fuel consumption has also reduced: now it is 7.1 l liters per 100 km for the M140i and 7.4 l liters for the all-wheel model.

The saloon of the novelty looks like in M135i version. The basic equipment includes the M-wheel and front sports seats, one-zone climate control, entertainment system with 6.5-inch color display. Automatically, hatches are equipped with brakes and M Sport suspension, which reduces the clearance by 10 mm.
