BMW X5 and X6 will be equipped with new touch screens

German car brand BMW has decided to upgrade the entertainment systems of its vehicles. It was reported by western automotive editions, which published such information. BMW X5 and X6 crossovers with the updated multimedia system will be available for sale in the third or fourth quarter.

According to published data, the cars will receive an updated interior, which will be equipped with an entertainment system with a touch screen by the summer. The screen size is good enough – 10.25 inches. This system will be borrowed from the 7-Series cars. BMW 7 Series 2016 touch screen works like a usual tablet or smart phone, and supports several regular methods – tap, swipe, scroll, zoom and drag with two fingers.

It is also reported that the car will receive an updated iDrive system, and it will be possible to control some functions of the car by the driver’s gestures. Control panel will be located at the same place, so nothing is expected in this respect. The car will be available for sale with a wide list of equipment.
