Powerful crossover BMW X3 M is already tested at the Nurburgring

German car brand BMW is actively testing the next generation of its model BMW X3 M. The car came into a spotlight of photo spies which are on duty at the Nürburgring. New generation will receive both visual and technical upgrades. It was announced by western automotive publications. The novelty differs from the standard version in new bumpers and modified optics, slightly extended wheel arches and the reduced ground clearance, as well as a new exhaust system.

The new generation of the car will be 100 kg lighter, which will positively affect the car’s handling and its dynamic characteristics. Chassis Index will be changed from F25 to F97. The X3 M will be released to the market after the appearance of the new X3 in 2017. The crossover will receive a three-liter 6-cylinder tvin-turbo, which is able to generate up to 425 horsepower, enabling it to compete with the Porsche Macan Turbo and Mercedes GLC63 AMG, plus it is possible the appearance of X3 M with a diesel engine from the X5 M50d.
