The updated BMW 2-Series got three cylinders engine

Motor gamma “Deuces” BMW next year will expand with two new powertrains – the petrol 1.5-liter three-cylinder, as well as a new 2.0-liter “diesel engine” (with row “Quartet”). In European showrooms updated 2-Series Coupe will arrive in March 2015.

Despite its “modest” 3 cylinder engine develops Bavarian 136 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. This motor will work together with six-step “mechanics” or eight-speed automatic transmission. In the first case the machine pick up the first “hundreds” of 8.8 seconds, while in the second just a moment slower – for 8.9 seconds. A top speed of 212 km / h, and the “passport” fuel consumption in a mixed mode will vary between 4.3 – 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers.

As for the diesel “turbo four”, this engine with 190 horsepower will allow to accelerate from standstill four-wheel drive BMW 220d Coupe xDrive up to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds and fuel consumption will be 4.3 – 4.7 liters per “hundred” run.

In addition, in the spring of 2015 a list of available kitting coupe will be expanded versions of Advantage, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport. The first version will get cruise control, rear parking sensors, fog lights and multifunction steering wheel. Sport and Luxury versions will be released on 17-inch alloy wheels, and other exhaust pipes, as well as with additional interior lighting and wooden inserts.

Modification M Sport provides, inter alia, sports body kit with aerodynamic elements, undervalued by 10 mm ground clearance and suspension recustomized. And in the cabin, a new steering wheel and sports seats trimmed in Alcantara.
