The label Green Car gives in the current world some sort of privileges in terms of attention and the willingness to buy that is higher if we compare it to other cars. That is why, BMW also engages in these sort of activities. Even though it is also clear that being socially responsible for that company is also very important.

The exceptional characteristics of BMW cars have been noted in the annual ranking, published by the Institute for Environmental Research ?KOTREND (Germany). Based on the results of multiple comparison tests, the independent organization called the most environmentally friendly cars in 12 different classes. BMW 730d BluePerformance and BMW X1 sDrive20d EfficientDynamics Edition were named the greenest among the other cars. The rating is based on fuel consumption and emission levels as well as other criteria, such as the safety of the production process on the environment and corporate environmental and social responsibility. Fully ?KOTREND rating will be published in the first issue of AUTO TEST 2013.

Interesting enough is that some cars do appear higher in the fuel economy, but at the same time, they loose greatly to the production process, since the German manufacturer was able to lift this side of their production process to the ultimate highest.
