There have always been good and understandable reasons to drive a convertible: fresh air, the feeling of freedom, unfiltered pleasures and so on. BMW would love to introduce a few more reasons. All convertibles are simply dynamic, really cool and breathtakingly beautiful. For example, the BMW 1 Series Convertible, has an impressive design and sporting engine.

The BMW M6 Convertible offers the most elegant form of top-down driving. Practically, the new 2013 BMW M6 Convertible is an M5 with 2 doors, more of the weight, and no roof. It uses the same 560-horsepower, twin-turbo V-8 that, on top of producing a greater amount of power than the outgoing V-10. The “Are we really going that fast?” effect resulting from spurts of wide-open throttle, is another similarity between the M5 and M6.

At 4490 pounds, the M6 weighs about 106 pounds more than the M5, and it accelerates slightly slower reaching 60 mph takes 3.9 seconds. Sadly, reaching that acceleration requires using the same launch control system found in the M5. This means that launch control cant be used when the car is still warming up, nor can you use it multiple times in a row. For me,this is the hottest BMW convertible ever.
