Alpina celebrated the 50th anniversary by BMW B5 and B6 special versions

The company Alpina in honor of its 50th anniversary has developed a special modification of the families of B5 and B6 Bi-Turbo, constructed the most powerful cars ever created by this German manufacturer. Both models have a 600-horsepower engine and a range of technical and design improvements.

“Five” and “six” in the Jubilee Edition 50 sets special version have upgraded eight-cylinder motor with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo. The company set new pistons, modified intake system and a water charge air cooling. Compared with conventional Alpina B5 and B6, unit’s return was increased for 60 horsepower and maximum torque increased by 70 Nm – up to 600 forces and 800 Nm respectively.
From zero to “hundreds” the new car can accelerate for 4,2 seconds. The maximum speed of the “five” sedan and wagon will make 328 and 323 kilometers per hour, while the coupe and convertible B6 – 330 and 327 kilometers per hour, respectively.

In addition, the cars received a titanium exhaust system Acrapovic (it is 17 kilograms lighter than standard), the powerful Brembo brakes with blue calipers, stickers “Edition 50″ on the body, as well as 20-inch wheels made of aluminum alloy, which together weigh in at 16, 5 kilos less than usual.
