The fifth BMW has been reworked by AC Schnitzer specialists

The sedan and wagon versions of the fifth series BMW under the G30/G31factory index has got a package of upgrades developed by AC Schnitzer studio. The models have received an increased power. In particular, the 540i version equipped by 3.0-liter turbo motor generates 400 horses instead of previous 300-hp, as for the 530d, its output increased from 265 to 315 horsepower. In future, the carmakers plan to increase the M550i, 530i, and 520d versions’ power by 50-60 additional horses.
The improvements in aerodynamics are an important feature of AC Schnitzer creations. The large aerodynamic package includes several polymer and carbon fiber components proposed for the customer’s choice. The fifth model can also be complemented by a splitter, new diffuser, rapier expanders, as well as a spoiler on the roof or a spoiler or a wing on the trunk lid. The driver can also add the mirrors made of CFRP.
A set of announced changes for the fifth series includes a set of new springs that let to understate the car’s body by 25 mm in front and 20 at rear comparing with the basic fifth version. The wheel disks’ design will be proposed in monochrome and two-tone color, in 19 or 20 inch diameter. It is possible to order tires on both axles in one or different sizes.
