Tuning studio MCCHIP-DKR created a 450-horsepower coupe BMW M2

It is known that the Bavarian manufacturer did not want to develop a coupe BMW M2 as powerful as the M4, because he did not want the superiority of the first over the last. Nevertheless, Mcchip-DKR German tuner decided to take the initiative in their hands, and it modified the model.

The German engineers already have experience in the optimization of electronic engine control units, so that ordinary cars can turn into high-performance machines. Besides that, M2 coupe has received an upgraded turbine, like the previous tuned projects of the company, for example, the RS3, the A45 and the M4 even, each of tem received a turbocharger. Also the smallest model M was equipped with a new exhaust manifold with catalytic converter.

As a result, the power of 3.0-liter V6 engine under the hood of Mcchip-DKR BMW M2 increased from 370 hp and 500 Nm to 445 hp and 600 Nm of torque. At the same time installing of new intercooler will increase the unit power up to 450 hp and 690 Nm. The cost of improvements, along with the installation of the components is estimated at € 8,090. In comparison, a used roadster Mazda MX-5 Miata can be purchased at this price.
